About Us

As part of the Sports Pathway Coaching Group, Our mission is to ensure that the young people in Primary and secondary schools can access a large variety of sports activities, we do this through providing specialist advice to schools on setting up extra-curricular clubs as well as developing club to school links. Our partners Sports Pathway Coaching and Progressive Football Development also deliver a wide range of sports sessions to schools and local communities. 

Physical Education Scotland is an accredited training provider through qualsafe awards. We offer a range of professional development courses, ranging from Child protection, effective communication as well as a full suite of First Aid courses. We currently work with a number of National governing bodies including the SYFA and many more. You can view our current courses on the training page.

As part of our commitment to developing a high-quality coaching workforce, we deliver a full range of professional development courses that benefit everyone working in sport and in the community. From first aid to child protection to teaching qualifications, we offer a wide range of courses to suit the needs of every organisation.

Health and Wellbeing

Physical Education Scotland aims to support the health and wellbeing outcomes as set out by the Scottish Government, Through working with our partner organisations, we help clubs and organisations create, sustain and develop options for young people to get more active, more often. Our club support package involves helping clubs with governance, recruitment, planning and developing coaching delivery.

Partnerships

Through partnering with other organisations we aim to spread the word about the benefits of sport and being active. We work with National Governing bodies of sport, clubs, charities and a range of other organisations to develop physical activity options and coach development courses.
